My name is Jay, and I’m a brand-new mom. If you had told me a few years ago that I’d be here—writing about motherhood—I probably would have laughed. My plan was to be the “fun auntie” who traveled the world, soaking up adventures and freedom. But as the saying goes, “If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.”

Now, I have my perfect little angel, and I truly can’t imagine life without him. Motherhood has changed me in ways I never expected. From pregnancy to these first precious months of my son’s life, I’ve learned so much—not just about caring for a baby, but about myself.

This blog is my space to share those experiences: the lessons, the mistakes, the milestones, and everything in between. My hope is that other new moms—especially the ones who, like me, started this journey knowing absolutely nothing—will find comfort, encouragement, and maybe even a few helpful tips here.

I’ve dreamed of starting a blog and YouTube channel for years, but I could never settle on “the perfect niche.” Then motherhood happened, and suddenly it clicked—this is the story I want to tell. This is the community I want to build.

Baby Brain Club is about keeping it real, celebrating the little wins, and reminding each other that we’re not alone in figuring it all out. I hope you enjoy reading my posts and watching my videos as much as I enjoy creating them for you.

What Does “Baby Brain” Really Mean?

When you hear the words baby brain, what comes to mind?
Most people think of the classic definition—forgetfulness, foggy thoughts, and losing your train of thought during pregnancy or after giving birth. Even the Oxford Dictionary defines it as “a state of impaired memory, concentration, or mental agility supposedly experienced by women during pregnancy or after giving birth.”

But I want to add another meaning—one that feels a little more joyful.

For me, Baby Brain isn’t about being scattered or forgetful anymore. Since becoming a mom, my brain has become less foggy and more focused—on him. My baby has become the center of my world, the reason behind so many of my choices, and the constant in my thoughts. That’s where the name Baby Brain Club comes from—because here, baby brain means putting your baby first and embracing the beautiful shift that comes with that.

Throughout my journey, I’ve leaned heavily on my “mommy club”—friends who are new moms like me, or seasoned ones with wisdom to share. They’ve answered countless questions, reassured me on my hardest days, and made me feel like I’m not in this alone. And I realized—there must be so many other moms out there who have the same questions, but no one in their corner.

That’s why I started this blog. My prayer is that I can be your new mom friend, and that Baby Brain Club can be a place where you feel supported, entertained, and encouraged—like a virtual mommy club you can visit anytime.

Every Monday, I’ll be posting about what I’m currently learning and going through as a first-time mom, how I keep my faith in Christ at the center, and how I try (and sometimes fail!) to carve out a little “me time.”

So grab a cup of tea, cozy up, and have a read—or watch one of my videos while you’re commuting, working, or tidying up.
I’m so glad you’re here. 💛
